As well as enjoying your yoga mat, you need it to be non-slip, durable, and absolutely therapeutic.
What are Yoga Mats Made of?
The material of a yoga mat will determine the texture, stickiness, sponginess, and eco-friendliness.
Most yoga mats are made of either vinyl, rubber, or Eva foam.
Vinyl mats last a long time and can endure many yoga classes.
Foam yoga mats offer the same performance characteristics, but without the harmful environmental side effects
Rubber is another popular choice among eco-friendly yoga mats, a rubber yoga mat is a solid alternative to a PVC mat. Like foam mats, rubber mats contain latex.
